Abstract

employee's output in carrying out tasks according to their responsibilities. The contribution of competent and professional employees is an important factor in driving increased organizational performance. This study aims to examine the influence of work engagement and job satisfaction on nurse performance at Regional General Hospital X. The study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional observational design. The sampling technique was total sampling, so that all nurses working in the inpatient and outpatient installations of Regional General Hospital X—a total of 187 people—were involved as respondents. The research findings indicate that work engagement, as measured by the dimensions of vigor, dedication, and absorption, influences nurse performance. Job satisfaction is also proven to have a significant influence on performance. Among all variables, the vigor dimension is the most dominant factor in influencing the performance of nurses at Regional General Hospital X. Therefore, hospital management is recommended to continue to improve the level of nurse work engagement, including by strengthening leadership support, improving superior-subordinate relationships, and providing training programs for ward heads and staff to encourage creativity and innovative behavior
