Pengaruh Leadership dan Teamwork Terhadap Implementation of Patient Safety Goals

Abstract
Patient Safety is one of the main indicators of hospital service quality. However, various patient safety incidents still frequently occur, such as Adverse Events (KTD), Near Misses (KNC), and Potential Injury Events (KPC). This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership and teamwork on the implementation of Patient Safety Goals (SKP) among nurses at XY Regional Hospital. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 133 nurses working at XY Regional Hospital. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using logistic regression. The results showed that leadership had a significant effect on the implementation of SKP (p=0.023), as did teamwork, which had a positive and significant influence (p=0.015). These findings indicate that the leadership of the ward head plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of SKP, while effective teamwork through good collaboration and coordination also improves the implementation of patient safety. However, limited joint training remains a barrier. Among all variables studied, communication is the most dominant factor because it plays a role in ensuring the delivery of clear, precise, and accurate information when responding to clinical situations, thereby minimizing the risk of patient safety incidents.
